$5 extra charge for 3G?

I am being charged an extra $5 for using their 3G service on my old phone as an add-on in self service.  I just activated a new iPhone. For the upcoming bill, I will probably have to pay it since I activated the new IPhone mid cycle,  but will the monthly $5 charge be automatically removed after this billing period or do I have to notify someone at Koodo?

Hi

You shouldn't have to notify anyone. The charge tracks what the network reads your device as, so once you're on the new iPhone it gets removed automatically starting on your following renewal. Your upcoming bill will probably still show it since you activated mid cycle.

I would still check the bill after that. If the $5 is still showing on the next full cycle, you can submit it through Ask us to review a charge in self serve https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/ask-us-to-review-a-charge-on-your-bill

As well, the details on the charge are here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/explaining-koodos-3g-usage-price-increase
