I have the koodo wireless home phone.  I received email that my home phone will be charged an extra $5/month starting in June as it uses 3g.  How do I upgrade my wireless home phone to 4 or 5g to avoid this charge?   I have a ZTE hub device.

That is interesting. Can you provide a screenshot of the bill notifying you of the increase? Are you sure this is not referring to your prepaid service? Do you have any other services with Koodo or Telus?

The ZTE WF723 should be using the LTE network. Can you confirm if the phone number listed on the email is for your Wireless Home Phone?

It should be noted that the email is not from Koodo. If you are a current Telus customer, you may want to reach out to them directly instead. https://www.telus.com/en/support

Which model are you using though. Some customers are using the older model of WF721- that one is not VoLTE compatible. The 723 seemed to have some hope but some reported it still used 3G for calling. If they sent that letter out with specific account number, your line wasn't using VoLTE at all.

Anyway, eTelus is selling nubia to be used with their network https://www.telus.com/en/mobility/wireless-home-phone that one is definitely compatible with VoLTE.
