Question

Prepaid Port In Request from Fongo

I am trying to port in a phone number from Fongo to Koodo Prepaid and I can see that my port in phone number has changed on the Koodo portal but i received an email from Fongo saying this.

We double-checked your Port-Out case and it was rejected for "No Reseller". This means the new carrier did not provide proper Reseller info which caused the failure. The provider will need to resubmit a V2 (version 2) with the Reseller (Fongo) info. This is not the customer's fault and we apologize in advance for the inconvenience this has caused.

Not sure what else I can change to have this completed.  I contacted Koodo via chat but the the call back slot available is tomorrow now. Is there a different way to contact Koodo right now or have this done as per their email?

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Does your number on your Koodo prepaid phone work?  Does calling (incoming and outgoing), texting (incoming and outgoing), cellular data work?

You will need to request a callback via Koodo assist to check on the port request.

Make sure the callback is to a working number

Thanks, I have requested for the callback to a different number but why cant I just call into Koodo support now? Seems like a partial port was done and now my port in number is no good for incoming calls. This is not good ..

To minimize hold times, a scheduled callback system was implemented.

It also helps filter out nuisance calls that take up calling resources when a call is not necessary or the answer can be found in the help pages, chatting with the Koodo Assist bot, or even on the community.

I understand the frustration when no callbacks are not available the same day.

There are no major events or issues currently that would be flooding the call center, so I do not know why a callback is not available today.  It does feel like the old system with being able to call is superior.

I only saw 12pm and even that - come on.. I should be able to just call customer service to get issues fixed. I really wish i knew this support model before i dumped $150 into this provider!

They have moved away from a direct support number. When they had it, if there was an issue or promotion, you would have to call business hours. If the waiting line is long, you will have have to wait 1,2 hours.

I would rather wait the 1 to 2 hours as I have been having issues since 1 pm yesterday and have spent hours with Facebook private chat that just say wait for the call back. That’s just bad business practice.. they perform a port and it fails and they don’t let me know or atleast just cancel the port so it’s not left in a mixed state. It’s the next day and I still have to wait a couple more hours..

Well, after 1.5 hour or so, they automatically rejected the call. The same thing happened to my CRA call recently. After 1 hour of wait, I were out

Fongo is the people who admister the port by the way, not Koodo.they can also contact Koodo directly if they wish
