Sent a text to spam

I received the following message from this number. Assumed it was spam.
---
ServiceOntario
We sent you a return on your previous licence renewal.

Text "1" to view details.
Text "STOP" to stop receiving notifications from ServiceOntario.
---
The phone number is 1-437-655-6764.
I sent the text, “1” to them by mistake about 30 minutes ago because I didn’t recognized it is a spam.

Can this be protected by Koodo?
Would you please advise me on what I should do not to lose my money with this?

You won’t be charged. You replied to a “437” area code number. Will be treated as regular text. Don’t worry.

If you think it’s spam then block it from your phone. Koodo can’t block incoming texts.
