Tab Bonus reduction question

So I have a question about the tab bonus. It’s saying that I have an $11.33/month tab bonus reduction, is  that essentially a credit that lowers my monthly bill by $11.33/month? So lets say that I had a $15/month tab charge, after the bonus reduction is that tab charge decreased to $3.67/month?

Thank you

You are half right!

The total price of the phone would be $26.33/m. Koodo is then reducing it by $11.33/m so that you are only left paying $15/m

So if I were to buyout the remainder of my tab so I no longer have a monthly tab charge, what would happen to the bonus? Would I continue to get the credit lowering my monthly bill?

Thank you

You would not, no.
The tab bonus is just Koodo's discount off the price of the phone. You have already got the discount.

The phone was $26.33/m, now it is $15/m. There’s no way to extend that discount any further.

Ah, so effectively the tab bonus wouldn’t really “exist” if I were to buy out my tab?

Thank you

It would invisibly exist in the backend until the 2 years is up.

The tab bonus exists so that if you cancel, change to an ineligible plan or upgrade your phone before the 2 years is up, then they charge you the remaining tab balance + tab bonus.

It’s so you can’t get a phone on a really cheap deal and then leave Koodo the next day and get away with paying very little for the phone.

What would be considered an ineligible plan? One that is below that phones “grade/level”? I did read through that but didn’t see anything about ineligible plans.

Thank you

Yea so if you’re on tab plus for example you need to stay on a plan eligible for tab plus throughout the 2 years.

The link below breaks down what plans are eligble for what tabs:
