Reconnecting my phone after hiatus.

So I’ve come into a bit of a money issue and my phone got disconnected a bit ago and i wont be able to reconnect it for at least another month. With it being an extended amount of time is there any chance of them deleting my account or anything in that matter or have any issues reconnecting? With my phone being out of service i cant exactly call them for an official  statement.

If it helps in the multiple years ive had this account this is the first time ive ever been disconnected.

It is very possible yes they cancel it if a payment isnt received after that long.

Even with the phone disconnected you should be able to dial #227 from the phone to talk to the payment department. You also may be able to setup payment arrangements in the billing section of your self serve account.

If neither of those work let us know and we can flag a rep.

I’d also look into what you absolutely need in a phone plan and switching to a lower priced plan if possible. If you might have unstable income for the next while, it’d be better to go prepaid. Assuming you don’t have a tab you’re also paying off. Because then if you’re late, you have 89 days to pay again to get it going and there’s no account freezing in that time or credit report or collections issues. For example, 25 dollars will get you unlimited talk, and 500MB. Plus a 500MB bonus if you do automatic top-up. Public Mobile is also under the Telus umbrella and they have a bit more data than Koodo’s prepaid plans at the lower end. And you can always switch back to postpaid with Koodo or whatever once your financial situation stabilizes.
