Question

Free Perk does not show when I switch to a new mobile plan

Hi.

When I try to switch to a plan with a free perk, and auto pay, I do not see the perk (even though I selected a free perk) on the last step and, see a confusing message regarding auto-pay which says the following

“Set up auto-pay to get a $5/mo discount on your next bill with this plan. Credit and debit cards not eligible.”
NOTE:  I am already setup for preauthorized payments through my credit card (is that different?)

Below is the complete message on that page.  Would you please review and assist?

Thanks.

Message on last plan change screen:

What perk are you trying to select?

And I agree the wording looks incorrect and is definitely confusing.  I will also flag a rep

Hello @Mr_NB

We would look into that for you. Let us know the last 2 digits of the number in question and the perk that you want selected .

Thank you for the responses.
Forgot to mention that I had tried different browsers, private browser windows, devices, etc. without any luck.
I am trying to change plans for 3 lines - a different perk for each line.

---

Oddly, I just tried one just now and it DID show me the Perk I selected on the “confirm Changes”.
This is good.  And Thanks, for any updates made in the back-end for this!

Now, before I Confirm, I’d just like to make sure that if I’m already setup preauthorised payments would I still get the “auto-pay” discount with the new plan?

How would I confirm that?

Thanks.

If you’re still getting an error for the perks on the other lines you can proceed with the plan changes without selecting the perks and we’ll try to add them for you. Just let us know what perk you’d like and for what phone number - last 2 digits of the number are ok.

If the plans are eligible for the pre-authorized discount, it should work with your pre-existing one as well. You mentioned receiving this message “Credit and debit cards not eligible.”  We have asked for further clarifications from our team regarding this.

Hi, @Georgia Koodo
As suggested, I have just changed one of the plans (for number ending with 41).  During the change, it did not pick up the Rollover Data free  perk.

Would your team be able to add the perk and let me know?

Thank you.

Hi @Mr_NB

We have double checked on our end and we can see Rollover data appears listed in the new plan details, we recommend checking in self serve  under Mobile Services.

Yes.  I do see it!

Thank you.

BTW, any word regarding the statement “Credit and debit cards not eligible.” ?

Just wanted to confirm whether my existing preauthorized payment plan would be eligible for the “auto-pay” discount.

Thank you.

Thanks for confirming!

Regarding the $5 autopay discount, you should continue receiving it with your current plan as long as you keep the pre-authorized payment active.

Excellent!

I’ll proceed with updating the other lines as well.

Thank you.

@Mr_NB

Sure, you can go ahead with the changes for the other lines and let us know if you need help with the perk.
