Plan possibilities when you get a new phone

I am on a 45 dollar plan and my tab has been paid off. I would like to get a new phone but keep my old plan.  Can I do this and still do a tab? From the web info, it seems that I would have to move up to a more expensive plan. I certainly don’t want to do that.

    I guess it depend on the tab you’re looking for. I believe in QC you would be eligible for any plan. Not sure about other provinces.
