Stuck on TELUS network

Hi,

For the past week my iPhone says TELUS. Everyone else I know who is on Koodo their iphones says Koodo. I know Telus owns Koodo but still. On the network selection I only have Telus, Bell and Videotron.

How do I fix this?

Thanks!

hi @Flo Koodo,

I tried my sim card in another phone and still the same issue. I just changed my sim card for a new one and now it says koodo :).

Hi there,

Have you tried power cycling the device? This is sometimes a phone glitch when it reads the signal coming from the tower and interprets it as Telus. You’re correct, Telus owns Koodo so when they share networks this sometimes happens. If that doesn’t work you can also try resetting the network settings in your phone, though even if it shows Telus it shouldn’t affect your service 🙂👍

Hmm, in that case when you’re in areas where Koodo is an option for network selection, do you find it switched to Koodo and when back to Telus or just Telus all the time? As it might just be as you said that only Telus and Bell are available, so it’s defaulting to Telus and is letting you just use their network instead as that’s all you have in that area.

Which phone model are you using? Was it updated to the latest iOS? From the description it seems carrier profile was wrong. Can you update iOS and reset network settings of the phone?

I have a iPhone 14. I’m on the latest iOS version and network reset did nothing.

That was weird. Let me flag a rep to look into Koodo backend to see if there is something wrong

Hi @avery480

We see that you managed to get in touch with a rep over the phone in the meantime.

Are you able to test the sim card on a different phone and check if it still shows TELUS as your network?
