Wrong apn setting on website

My mobile data was hit or miss after I received a new sim card. A lot of websites simply refused to load. After doing some research I came to the conclusion some of the settings were erroneous.

MMSC = http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/koodo/mmsc on the site, however if you remove the koodo part it’s one of the corrections.

Also changed APN protocol to just IPv4. Very happy with the service now.

Hope this helps those with similar issues.

MMSC is for MMS though. I don’t think it affected your mobile data issue

Which phone are you using? have you tried to reset network settings to see if the phone can automatically reset APN on its own?

IIRC, the IPv4 fix worked for OnePlus devices having data problems. Eliminating Koodo from the MMSC string puts your phone on TELUS MMSC (Multimedia Messaging Service Centre). Their settings are identical to Koodo’s APN settings except for the access point name and MMSC string. Putting Koodo back into the MMSC string should allow data to work.
