Hey there, so to make a long story short, the Apple ID my account is linked to I’ve (almost) lost access to. I don’t have my password anymore, it got changed by me a while ago and I can’t remember what I’d changed it to. I’ve exhausted my options of recovering the account so when this phone dies or I go to get a new one, I will not be able to use my number due to the fact that it’s already linked to an Apple ID but I will not be able to log into it.

 

so, will I be able to get Koodo to remove my number from this apple account so I can put it on a new one, or if I switch to android will I be able to transfer my number there?

You are able to change the password without knowing the password for the Apple ID!

Go to settings, tap your name at the top, tap “passwords and security”, and then ”change password”. It’ll ask you for the password for the phone and then allow you to change it.
