Hi @WataWata we can reset your voicemail completely but that would require you to go through the initial setup again. Any saved or unheard messages would be deleted and you would have to record your greeting message again. Are you ok with that?

Yes I’m OK with that. Thanks.
Ok, your voicemail has been reset, please restart your phone and test.
It did nothing…
The voicemail was not re-initialized. Still have some old voicemails in there. It didn’t ask to set a new password.
That’s odd, the voicemail service was definitely deactivated and reactivated. Would you like us to remove the Instant Voicemail add-on as well in case it is interfering?
In don’t want to loose Instant Voicemail add-on (the feature that transfer all my voicemails to text messages).
But if you can just disable it and re-enable it, it’s fine.
Hi @WataWata
We have already disabled and re-enabled the voicemail before however this doesn’t seem to fix it.
We recommend scheduling a call back with the virtual assist and speak with the technical support team so they can further look into it.
What about disabling/re-enabling Instant Voicemail add-on?
Maybe completely remove voicemail? And re-add it? This would force it to re-initialize.
Please do whatever you need to do to reset the voicemail. I’m OK with it.
Don’t really have time to call .
@WataWata
We have removed and re-added the Voicemail and the Instant Voicemail add-on, can you please check again and let us know if you are able to initialize the voicemail and disable the password?
it asked me to reset the password. I accepted. It texted me a temporary password. I did initialize the new mailbox. Did set a new password. Did record a new greeting. Setup of new mailbox done. Restarted phone.
It still asks me for password...
The way i access my mailbox : phone: long press 1: it asks for the password.
My phone Pixel 9.
It seems like a hard bug.
@WataWata
Have you tried following selecting option 4, then 8 in the voicemail menu to toggle password off, after having set up the voicemail?
Yes I did toggle the password request on . Restarted phone. Toggled password request off. Restarted phone. Tried again. Still asks for password.
Got it!
In this case, we recommend scheduling a call back with the virtual assist and speak with the tech support team, as they will be able to further investigate.
I’ll just enter the password.
Thanks for your time and efforts.
Have a great day!

I don’t think we could do more than this over the phone. We went through all the needed troubleshooting on my side. Would you please escalate this to the higher tech level, so they can troubleshoot on their side, to try to find out why this is happening with voicemail? I’m not the only one with this problem (
).
You would need to schedule a callback with the Tech Support team through the Koodo Assist and they can help with other troubleshooting steps and log a ticket for further investigation if necessary.
if you don’t have any other troubleshooting steps for me here, I don’t see why I’ll schedule a callback.

@WataWata
Sorry, your last reply has been somehow missed.
We have limited access here on community when it comes to technical related situations. We recommend scheduling a call back with the virtual assist and speai with the technical support team. They have access to more advanced tools and if needed, they can log a ticket for the issue to be investigated further.
