I have turned off the password requirement for my voicemail in my preferences, option 4, option 8, but it is still asking me for my password. I just recently changed phones and nothing else. I've never had this problem any other time I've changed phones. Any ideas?

I had an offer from Koodo last year for a free Pixel 7 for just shipping costs. Phone number did not change (the sim that came with phone was reassigned to my son's number). My son's phone broke so I gave him my S21 and switched my sim card into the Pixel7. I have had the same number for 23 years.
Last two numbers are 45

I have restarted phone and it still promots for pwd
We can reset your voicemail completely but that would require you to go through the initial setup again. Any saved or unheard messages would be deleted and you would have to record your greeting message again. Would you be interested in trying that?
I'm oicemail is empty. Completely resetting it is fine
Ok, the voicemail for the *45 line has been reset. Please restart your phone again and go though the voicemail set up when you get a chance. Let us know if that works!
Reset phone. Set new pwd, VM says not needed when calling in. Re recorded everything. Restarted phone again for good measure….STILL need to enter password. I give up

If you enter your sim in your old S21, does the voicemail prompt you for your password?
Was the Pixel 7 used prior to using it now?
Did the skip password work in the S21 previously? Did it work in the Pixel 7 previously?
