I have tried to set my new device up (S24+ purchased outside of Koodo) and it refuses to accept a SIM card.

When the card is inserted, the phone tells me that it is an unregistered SIM. It recognizes that the sim is from Koodo, and even shows me the phone number associated, but will not connect to a registered network. I have tried to set the network manually (with the same result) and have restarted the device several times between attempts.

I have confirmed that the phone is unlocked, and checked the IMEI to see if it is somehow blacklisted (it is not).

The SIM works in all other devices that I have put it in.

I live 1.5 hours away from the nearest Koodo store, what can I do to try to resolve this from home?

Hi @MapleMuse

Have you tried resetting the network settings in your phone?

Please check also the APN settings https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phone

Thanks @Flo Koodo

I just created a new access point using the link you provided.

After restart, there is no change :(

@MapleMuse Have you also tested the phone with a different sim?

@Flo Koodo I do not have access to another sim besides my own. I can see if I can find someone to lend me a SIM.

The SIM reader in the new device is working as it shows all of the SIM information correctly on the device.

Just to confirm, are you a new customer or an existing customer who upgraded their phone?

Editted: Regarding the issue, I read that you tested the SIM so I assumed the SIM worked. Where did you get the phone? was it a North American model?
