Hi, my Android Samsung phone has stopped receiving texts and calls. No settings have been changed and it was previously working. Data is working. I can't receive a scheduled call back as not receiving calls, so unsure how to resolve it. Have tried all suggestions on google search: clearing cache, changing APN, downloading Google messages app, restarting, turn off and on etc etc.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks Todd

What is signal strength like?

Have you tried resetting your phones’ network settings?

Which Samsung phone do you have?

To reset your phones’ network settings, go to Settings > Backup & Reset. Or go to Settings and type ‘reset’ in the Settings search bar. Look for reset network or something similar and follow the onscreen prompts.

This procedure restores cellular, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to their factory default values. This does not erase any user data, but you will have to re-enter Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth devices will have to be re-paired, (if applicable). VPN settings will need to be reconfigured, (if applicable).

Signal strength is good enough.

Have just tried resetting network settings as you suggested, but made no difference.

Signal strength is good enough (same as previously was)

Thank you

Try putting your Galaxy A20 in Safe Mode. This puts your phone in a diagnostic mode returning all settings to default. If your phone works (calls & messaging) in safe mode, then it’s possibly an app-related problem.

To get into Safe Mode, press and hold the Power button until the Power off prompt appears on the screen, then release. Touch and hold the Power off icon until the ‘Safe mode’ prompt appears, then release. To confirm, tap Safe mode. The process may take up to 30 seconds to complete.

When rebooting, ‘Safe mode’ appears in lower-left of the unlock/Home screen. With Safe mode enabled, have someone call you or send you a text message to test. To exit Safe Mode, restart your phone.

If Safe Mode fails to yield results, I would suggest getting the Fongo Mobile app. This will give you a free Canadian phone number that you can use for a callback.

Thank you very much. Safe mode didn't yield results, but I will download the Fongo app you suggested.
