Can you help?
My phone got stolen today, but I’ve got it back by miracle. They did steal the sim card though.
Would you please activate my phone number on the esim of my Pixel 9 phone?
Last 2 digits of my phone number: 30

Hi
If you already have an eSim voucher, you first need to perform the sim swap in self serve, using the steps here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support and then you can scan the voucher to load the esim on your phone.
Hi Flo,
I don’t have an esim voucher.
How do I proceed to transfer my sim card to an esim, please?
I’m abroad. I don’t have a way to go to a koodo store.
I already blocked my phone number via the chat assistant, to prevent any faud.
I guess I’ll wait for the koodo call back… Hope they can do something over the phone.
You need to have a friend or family member in Canada to get a esim voucher for you. They can send an email of a photo of the QR code.
Can my friend buy a voucher without providing my phone number the salesman in the koodo store? Or will they ask for my phone number and IDs?
I mean, do they ask questions usually? Or do they just sell the voucher like that, without asking questions?
An esim voucher is blank and contains no personal info.
They can just visit a Koodo kiosk to purchase the voucher with no questions or iD needed
Anyone can buy an eSIM voucher as they are not sold activated. Once purchased, your friend can send you a picture of the QR code (while being careful not to scan the code themselves).
You can activate the new SIM in your online account, here is a guide https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support under SIM card replacement.
Once the new SIM is active, you can scan the QR code to download the eSIM to your phone, here is more information https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-and-esim-vouchers The code can only be scanned once so make sure not to delete the eSIM once it’s been downloaded to your phone.
Thank you guys! Appreciate the help. I have a friend that will go get a voucher tomorrow.
I which there would be an easier way in the future, though . When abroad, we feel quite vulnerable when loosing our phone.
We have been pushing for a free online only esim service. It makes so much sense
I called the 3 koodo locations in my home town… Not actual Koodo Stores, but shops selling Koodo stuff. They all said they don’t sell eSIMs…
I said to myself, OK, I’ll wait til I get home and I’ll buy a physical SIM.
The only location that was opened the day I went shopping for a new SIM said that they were only supposed to sell koodo SIM cards for new activations!!!
Then I remembered I had a spare SIM card at home. Thank god!
Why is it so hard to get a Koodo post-paid/standard SIM card locally? Why they don’t even sell esims locally?

That is not true, unless this 3rd party store has it’s own set of rules. But anyone can go to a Koodo owned kiosk and buy a sim, no questions asked.
What town/City are you in?
Edmundston,NB.
I was at Walmart mobile department.
If these stores do not carry esims, I would call the closest Koodo kiosk and see if they would sell to your friend over the phone and email / text a photo of the QR code to your friend. This will be less likely.
I will also flag a rep
Hi
For the eSim vouchers as standalone, they can be purchased in Koodo/TELUS stores.
well there’s 3 koodo kiosks in my town (no koodo “store”) and neither of them sells eSims Voucher
