Hi, need help. Someone register my Koodo phone number on WhatsApp before me. I have the phone number, I can call and sms but can't register it on WhatsApp. Now I got a call from BMO today asking to confirm my identity. Please how can I claim this number back on WhatsApp

What happens when you try to register it?

When setting up whatsapp it should just ask for your number, then send a verification text to you to login (which you can get since you have the number now).

Thank you Allan. Initial when I tried, it kept prompting me that the number has already been registered on WhatsApp, asked me to check the other phone that the verification code has been sent to the phone. I never got the verification code.

For whatever reason, I just tried again now, got the option of SMS or Phone Call. I got the code and now have been able to register the number on WhatsApp Business. Thank you.
