Hello:

I got e-mail at the address I use for Koodo, saying that someone activated roaming on my account in France, and that I have ordered a separate plan for a new person on my account.

I logged in to Koodo self serve and see a new name and different phone number, as well as my own name and phone number.

This is their transaction:

=====================

March 8, Equipment swap

Type  1RTT / 1RTT
Network state ACTIVATED
Serial no. 8912230200246778514
Equipment type KOODO ESIM

=====================

How do I get rid of this person.

I did not share my password with anyone, and I don’t know this person.

Thanks.

That is a serious issue. Have you tried to change your password? As well, since the password/email was leaked, I suggest you check your local device for any malware/spamming app. Your device/network might have compromised.

I will flag a rep here. Hopefully, they can assist you with the problem in the forum.

It seems like you may be a victim of the SIM card swap scam. You should report this incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and file a report with your local police department. https://antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/report-signalez-eng.htm

I would also suggest you to pull up a credit report from Equifax and TransUnion to see if there are any other fraudulent activities that should prompt you to place a fraud alert.
