My phone data speeds are .16 for download and 1.4 for upload. sometimes it doesn’t work at all. I have 3 bars of signal and there is a 4g symbol. My phone is a samsung s10. it seems to be blocked to 2g speeds.

I needed to get TELUS (the network carrier)to unblock the phone so that wifi calling would work and this seems to be a similiar issue.

I have a Koodo account with 4g and 6gb data. it did previously work

 

Have you tried resetting your network settings in the phone and see if that helps any?

Is there anyone else closeby with Koodo who is experiencing similar speeds in that location?


I did that when we were working on the wi fi calling. Should the settings/connections/mobile networks/network mode be on global or lte/3g/2g

just tested again and upload 0.12 and download 0.61 with 2 bars signal.

on wifi i get about 160 so phone is capable of more, seems like network loading in area or or phone blocking. on spot on trail walk i got 53 yesterday so varies al over the place. I was on public mobile limited to 3g and had better service there than now with 4 g on koodo


How did you get the phone? Was it a Canadian model?

You could try to force the phone to 3G and see if that can help but setting network mode to auto Lte/3G normally should help.
