RCS messaging not working correctly

I have recently been having RCS issues with certain contacts. 95% of my contacts are not receiving my RCS messages. It was working yesterday and before. I've experimented to see if it's my phone or the provider. Roger SIM card works with RCS to all my contacts except Koodo eSIM. I have exhausted all options like resetting my phone and clearing data in the Google messaging app. I've enabled and disabled the app. I can see people typing and they can see me typing but my messages never go through to them. This is a very frustrating issue. I am tempted in trying a physical SIM card to see this fixes the issue.

I've even called Koodo to see if they can do anything on their end to no avail.

First thing to try: turn Chat features off in Google Messages, wait 30–60 seconds, then turn them back on and let it fully re‑register.

Then check:

  • Google Messages > Settings > RCS/Chat features: status should be “Connected”, same phone number shown as on your Koodo line.
  • Remove any VPN, Wi‑Fi calling, or private DNS while testing.
  • Test RCS with 1 Koodo contact only, then a group.

If it still fails only on Koodo eSIM after that, reply with:

  • Phone model
  • - Android version
  • - Whether you recently changed SIM/eSIM or number.

RCS is fully connected. Trust me I have disabled it and enabled it many many times. I changed my sim around Monday at 6:00 p.m. it was sent to me electronically.

Android 16

Galaxy S25

Changed eSIMs Monday. Problems started yesterday around 1pm. Some bell people get my messages. No Rogers or Fido get my rcs messages. So confusing.

Ask one of the affected Rogers/Fido contacts to turn RCS off, send you an SMS, then re‑enable RCS so their side fully re-registers, then test you → them only.
