Hello - I have been experiencing poor reception on my phone at home, in the Capilano area of Edmonton. Only 1 bar and the reception cuts in and out during voice calls. This has only started in the past couple of months. Anybody with the same issue of know how to resolve?

If the network mode on your iPhone 12 is set to LTE, what happens when you switch to 3G?

3G should offer better signal reception.

Yes. Signal strength jumps immediately when switching to 3G.

Yes. Signal strength jumps immediately when switching to 3G.

Make a test call or two to see if the cutting in and out of voice calls persists.

Are you using VoLTE on your iPhone 12?

If the low cellular signal issue persists on LTE, you may want to look into Wi-Fi Calling. You will need the VoLTE access add-on added to your Self Serve account, if it’s not already there. When the cellular signal is too weak, your phone should  automatically switch to Wi-Fi Calling using your home Wi-Fi network.

VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling are available to postpaid and prepaid customers. Prepaid customers may have to wait a few more months for the gradual rollout of these services.
