My Husband and I both got emails from Koodo stating that our Samsung Galaxy A11’s will no longer work in America when we travel there, even whilst using the $12/Day US Easy Roam. Now we can’t find the email or any information about US compatibility and we’re worried as we need the phones for work and to keep in touch with our daughter.

There’s been  lot of confusion regarding shutdown of legacy networks in the US. To find out if your phone will work roaming there, log into T-Mobile’s site and fill in the compatibility form as if you were going to sign up with them. That should settle any doubt you may have.

Regarding the compatibility, you could also use this tool from Telus to check VoLTE compatibilty https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/how-to-use-volte

The Samsung A11 actually was on the Koodo VoLTE list. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/volte Theoretically, it should be fine to roam in the US with that device.
