I bought a Google Pixel 6a from Koodo a few months ago. In the last couple of weeks when I’m on calls my voice becomes distorted and/or the other party cannot hear me. Can I fix this or do I need a new phone?
Have you tried resetting your phone’s network settings?
What is signal strength like?
Resetting your phone’s network settings may help resolve the issue. Make a test call or two to see if this has fixed the issue.
If the problem persists and the phone does not perform a restart after resetting network settings (some phones don’t do this) try restarting your phone.
Check signal strength as this may be the cause for the distorted calls. Resetting your phone’s network settings should correct this if signal strength is lower than usual.
Hi, sorry for not replying sooner. The issue was resolved by setting up wi-fi calling on my phone but if I don’t have that on the problem is still there. Nobody has explained to me why that is. I’m assuming it’s because the signal is not good or something but I’ve been with Koodo for years and this has only been an issue since I got my new phone, the google pixel 6a.
Let me know if you have any other tips. I did try resetting the network settings but maybe could try again.
Thanks

Can you check your phone settings to see if there was a voice-enhancement feature of any sort? That setting might be the culprit if the issue wasn't there before with other device.
