Not able to transfer my phone number to Koodo

Hi, I am a new Koodo customer. I sales representative helped me set up a new account and I received an order confirmation for the new plan and an e-sim. I registered online and tried to transfer my current number to Koodo. Every time I try to transfer it whether by the account number or the IMEI number, I get an error message that says “Failed to submit port in request”. I am not able to get any help from the chat rep. Can you please help?

It appears one or 2 information wasn't correct. Have you checked your account number of previous carrier to see if that is correct?

As well, I assume your existing line with that carrier is still active and you are currently residing in Canada without VPN?

Yes, I got the account number directly from the current service provider by email. I also got the IMEI number from phone settings and I know it is correct. I am currently in Canada and I am not using a VPN

IMEI sometimes doesn't work with porting. Typically you only need your account name and the account number correct. That worked for me several times. Can you just omit the IMEI but keeping the correct account number?
