No service after porting number to Koodo

I ported number from Public Mobile to Koodo this morning. Since then i don’t have any service. I requested call back at 4pm, received call and spent 2 hours with the agent who basically kept telling me to reboot my phone 20 times. At 7pm his shift ended and he had to go and someone would call me back lol. I missed that call and now going into next day still no service.

Here are some of the things i have tried:

reset network settings

turned line off

turned cellular data on/off

reinstall esim with phone rep

airplane mode on/off

Nothing has worked and all i see is SOS for signal

Feels like impossible to get any help

Oof, that’s rough. Sounds like the port got stuck between carriers. Few things to try:

Check if your old Public Mobile SIM still works in another phone. If it does, you might need to manually approve the port from that SIM (they sometimes send a confirmation text you gotta reply to).

Also, did the Koodo rep confirm the port actually completed on their end? Sometimes it shows as done but isn’t. If you’re still on eSIM, try requesting a physical SIM card instead; eSIM ports can be finicky.

If nothing changes, you might need to ask them to reject the port and start over. Stuck ports are annoying but fixable.

Thanks

yes i replied to the text from public and port went through. Public mobile sim doesn’t work anymore

rep confirmed it was successful. He said esim is installed from what he can see and it should be good to go (but it shows sos)

do you know if i can get a physical sim and they can assign my number to it ?

Is this the phone  you were using with Public?

What phone is it?

Yes you should be able to swap your sim From esim back to a physical sim. You just need to buy a blank physical sim from Instore. Unfortunately it is black Friday weekend so it may be a long wait.

I requested a call back yesterday at 7pm but so far i haven’t heard anything back. My phone is not usable so i gave a different number.

this is the same phone i used with public mobile and this is the same one i have used with koodo before that so i don’t think phone is the problem. Its an iphone 16 pro max.

How long has it been since you ported?

@Jai Kumar Chugh please restart your phone to see if that fixes things.

To confirm, your koodo prepaid line was working prior to porting?
