Of course the police called me back to ask if I needed assistance and gave me crap for tying up a 911 line but...I never dialed them.  My phone says that I rapidly pressed the side button 5 times but I did not.  Also Siri frequently gets activated for no reason.  I’ve had my phone for 2.5 years and have only started having these issues the last couple of months.

Thank you @MilkyWay I have shut it off now.  So strange because the image/graphic on my phone shows that the buttons on both sides of the phone need to be pressed rapidly 5 times in order to activate the emergency SOS and I definitely did not do that.  But I’ve shut it off now to hopefully prevent it from happening again.
