Had a call this morning from a number in my area, very nice lady asking me questions, because she had a call from my phone # that was phishing for visa information,
She was calling to let me know, was not asking anything personal , just a friendly mention.
I would like to know if there is anything I can do to block this from happening. I use the phone mainly for business, and would not like anyone to get this kind of call from what appears to be my number.

It's called caller ID spoofing, and no, there really isn't much you can do to prevent it.
Had this happen to me. The scammers using my own phone number actually called me. They will move on to other phone numbers eventually.

I hope they do move on. I often get calls from the same area prefix, answer and just get a click.
