Mobile Data not working after receiving roaming message

I’m in BC and never left Canada, but I got a roaming message when I was driving saying “Welcome to the US”.


Now my Mobile Data and RCS messaging does not work (calls and sms still work). I also never received a ‘welcome back to Canada’ message.

I’ve already checked my network settings, APN and everything seems to be in order (connected to Koodo 5g, correct koodo APN, not data roaming). Tried turning on/off airplane mode, restarted the phone, reinserted sim card and the data does still not work. When wifi is on the data works.


Can a koodo rep please reprovision my data? It seems like my line is stuck in a roaming state?

 

This is for my phone number ending in *441

It appears there were several issues there.

One is the issue with accidental roaming, from your description, your phone might have pinged US towers while in Canadian soil. When you received your next bill, if you see a roaming fee, you could come back here and a rep will give you credit for it. 

Another issue is the network outage. Koodo/Telus has identified the issue and probably is working on it. I recommend you monitor the situation and restart the phone every 2,3 hours https://www.telus.com/outages
