I just signed up for the new koodo home internet but when trying to set up the modem it says I need a telus connect account.

In order to make this I need a telus # or telus account. Where would I get this information? My koodo numbers are not working.

When you mentioned you “trying to setup”, did you receive an setup instruction from them yet? was there any activation date mentioned anywhere from Koodo?

@Britours There were 2 pieces of equipment we sent. One is black,  this is the modem. Pls connect this first to your cable outlet. The other one is white, this is your router, (for w-fi). This only needs to be connected if you don’t currently have a router of your own. If you do need to connect it must be connected to the modem as per the helpful instruction on our site here:

https://www.koodomobile.com/en/setup/internet?INTCMP=KM_SetupPageLP_InternetClicked_August2023

Start from step 3.

You do not need to download the TELUS app and/or setup a TELUS account. I hope this helps.

Pls don’t connect your modem before your activation date you selected during the sign up. Line won’t be active until that date.

Thanks all, this was helpful and yes I do have internet now. The Activiation date was part or the issue.

However, I want to rename my network and when I try to use the I.P address I still need a username to log in.  Any chance you know what that is? The original Telus network name is not it.

Usually the router’s admin useername and password are on a data sticker/plate on the back or bottom or underside of a router.

I see admin pswd but no username. These are on the booster as well not the router.

@Britours This FAQ should help: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/how-to-change-a-network-name-and-password

Thanks that worked! I didn't realize the username was already there as a default. Thought it had to be overwritten *duh*
