I am having a hell of a time trying to get a callback from technical support for this.
I'm in Whitehorse, Yukon. We have had our own timezone in The Yukon since 2020. We don't change our time for daylight savings (or rather, we're on permanent daylight time). Recently many timezones made their switch to daylight time, this includes Alberta. I was surprised to see my phone had switched to Mountain Daylight Time when Alberta switched, and I noticed that I only had automatically set time enabled on my phone, and not set time from location. When I enabled location time, it got the right timezone. But still I was confused why the cell tower was giving me the wrong timezone, so I looked into what time info the tower was giving my phone. It turns out that the towers in Whitehorse are using Edmonton as the location for timezone, which is obviously incorrect even before we had our own timezone (we were on Pacific Time previously).
I've tried to contact technical support about this, but the system keeps saying they're too busy for a callback.
Anyone else having this issue? Are there technical support agents watching the community forums and can look into this? Is there a direct number I can call to get into the phone queue, breather than relying on the callback system?
