I have followed koodo step that  transfer my phone number from virgin to koodo.

I can receive phone call and call out, and sign in koodo online, it shows successfully transfered.

And I called virgin that they told me I already cancel their service.

But why I can’t receive and send text message.

When I text back “YES”  within 2 minutes.

Have you received the welcome SMS from Koodo?

Step 5: Once you’ve replied YES, the transfer is now in progress and can take up to 2.5 hours to finish. You’re almost done!

After you replied YES to the SMS

  • If you’re bringing your own phone: you can now remove the previous provider’s SIM card and insert the new Koodo SIM card (or if you use an eSIM, deactivate the previous provider’s eSIM and activate the new Koodo eSIM). Once the transfer is done, verify the data settings here to ensure your data is working
  • If you ordered a Koodo phone, just insert the Koodo SIM card (or activate the new Koodo eSIM)

You’ll know the transfer is done when you receive a welcome SMS from Koodo, asking you to restart the phone so that everything is in perfect working order.
