The basic messenger I've been using for years now won't display images or videos but instead offers a downloadable link, which I can never download. "Tap to download", then I get "Mobile data is turned off. Check your settings." when I tap it.
I've never had data, I only use wifi. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to all this so a little advice would be appreciated. I'm using a Samsung A03s. Thanks.
+4It sounds like you may have set messenger as you default texting app so now your text messages are going there and you can’t view MMS (picture texts/videos) without turning your data on.

Thanks for the advice. However, I've now switched between both the Samsung and back to my regular (Google I assume) messenger app, and neither are allowing me to see or download anything. Could it be anything else?
