help with messaging - sms or rcs what to use?

Looking for advice….  Am a new Koodo user and also have a new IPhone 17 Max, what should I be using for text messaging, RCS or SMS - I don’t always know what type of mobile someone has, so am confused.  When I has sms on, my messages came back not delivered., and at least one person has an iphone, and the others are various.  Should I be using RCS always?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi ​@CarolAnnH, welcome to Koodo! To make sure you can send and receive messages from Android and iPhone devices we’d recommend having the Send as Text Message, RCS Messaging and MMS Messaging options all active (toggled ON). 

    The iPhone will always default to iMessage, but if it is not available it will then pick one of the other options to send the message.
