Given random number

I transferred my number to my new koodo account but the number i see on my new sim is completely different from either the original number or the one transferred. It’s an esim and the self serve portal says the correct number but if i call its a random number

Are you a new prepaid or postpaid customer?

Koodo typically gave out temporary number first and let customer port in their number later https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/moving-your-number-koodo? However, in some rare cases, they let customer port at the activation time (prepaid).

New postpaid. I transferred the number after activation and it says it transferred.

Since Self Serve shows the correct number but incoming calls go to a different one, it sounds like the number transfer completed on the account side but the network hasn't fully propagated it yet. Porting can take few hours anyway. When did you initiate the transfer? And Have you received a text from Koodo yet? In the meantime, I recommend you restart the phone every hours to see if that can help.

 If it still doesn't work after a few hours, you can come back here someone can flag a Koodo rep here to investigate the port on their end.

Yeah I replied to the text and got confirmation. I guess I’ll just wait and see

Just to double check, is the phone number you transferred over ending in *19?

If yes, it appears the esim has been deleted from the device.
