I understand that a signal strength of -80 dBm is considered good.
- This is what my wife receives on her android phone using Rogers SIM
From the same location (my home office), using a Koodo SIM
- my signal strength is currently -115 dBm. I understand that this is considered to be very poor - and in fact, totally unacceptable, given that I live within the city limits of Fredericton!!
As a consequence of this poor signal, many telephone calls on my Koodo phone either just fade away or completely drop out
- This issue has been ongoing for many years and has been reported to Koodo Technical support
I understand that I can switch providers to receive an acceptable signal, but because I am currently locked in for the next 13 months, a switch would cost me close to $700!!
While Koodo has been very sympathetic and apologetic, what I would really prefer is a technical solution.
- Is a signal booster an option, and if so, can Koodo provide me with one at no charge?
