Cannot send or receive text messaging after transfer to prepaid plan

After transfer the phone number from SaskTel to Koodo prepaid plan, I cannot send or receiving any text messaging. The phone call and 4G data are all working fine.

But without texting, I cannot register the Koodo account and also cannot setup a callback.

Did you restart your phone after the port transfer?

Yes, multiple times.

Have you tried creating your own account on the prepaid Self-Serve login page? Can you confirm whether you switched devices while moving over to Koodo?

Yes, but I cannot receive any text, so I am stuck at “Verify the code sent to your registered phone number to proceed to the next step.”

It is possible that the port transfer was not successfully completed.

Since you are able to receive calls, you can schedule a callback through Koodo Assist to speak with a rep to resolve the issue. https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/koodoprepaid/koodoprepaid.html

Yes, I tried that, the Koodo Assist need send me a text or ask me login to my prepaid account to provider further access.

You see, this is the dead loop I am facing.

It should work if you type “Speak with a rep” and click “Not a Koodo customer” a few times to prompt the chat bot to give you the option to schedule a callback.
