I have had my phone stolen while on a 3-month backpacking trip. I need access to my old phone number for 2 factor authentification for online banking purposes. I am not able to have a physical Koodo SIM card sent to me because I am overseas. Can I change my old physical SIM card to an eSIM so that I can still access that number? If not, is there another solution to this problem?

Thanks!

Hi @KatieL

Sorry to hear your phone was stolen.

You should be able to perform a sim swap in self serve to an eSim, however you’d need an eSim voucher.

The only way would be for you to ask a friend or family member in Canada to purchase an eSim voucher in a store and send you the QR code.

If you are able to get an eSim QR code, please make sure you first perform the sim swap in self serve as per the steps here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support then scan the QR code.

Also, please flag your phone as stolen in self serve until you get an eSim voucher.

Let us know if you require further assistance.
