Can't receive incoming calls and text messages after transferring from Fido to Koodo

Yesterday Telus team came to my building and offered me a good deal on internet of I switch my telecom provider from Fido to Koodo. So I agreed and they did the transfer process. I got an SMS from Fido asking for confirmation to transfer and I reply YES immediately. And then I removed Fido SIM and inserted the new Koodo SIM. Outgoing calls work but incoming calls and SMS don’t work. I asked people with different provider to call me and their calls directly go to the voicemail. I tried to chat with Koodo assist and it has scheduled a callback but since I’m not receiving incoming calls, Koodo representative won’t be able to call me. How to resolve this issue now since there is no way to directly call them.

@Dinh Yes, I restarted the phone and now everything is working fine. Thanks for your inputs!

Have you checked your self-serve to see if the number transfer has been completed there? Is the old number showing up as your current number?  have you received a cancellation email from Fido yet?

As well, can you reset network settings of the phone?

Hi @Heisenberg, your number transfer was completed successfully at around 2:20 PM ET today. If you’re still having issues with incoming calls and SMS please restart your phone and test again.

@Dinh the problem was that the transfer didn’t complete even though I had replied YES to the Fido message yesterday. So today I inserted my old Fido SIM back to my mobile and and got all pending SMS and there was one from Koodo saying that the transfer didn’t go through due to some technical issues and mentioned that if I need to transfer again I should reply 1 to that message which I did. Then I got another message from Fido for transfer confirmation to which I replied YES and this time I got an immediate confirmation from Fido that my transfer request has been accepted which didn’t happen yesterday. And after few minutes the transfer was complete and now I’m receiving calls and SMS to my new Koodo SIM.

That happened sometimes. Hopefully the phone works as of now. I assume you have restarted the phone as Koodo rep mentioned above?
