Can not call with transferred number

I switched from Bell to Kodoo and transferred my number. I got a confirmation that the number is actually transferred.

With Bell my number was linked to a physical SIM card; with Kodoo it’s an eSIM. I don’t know if that’s the problem. I can receive calls and can call back but can’t make a call by dialling a number.

In my settings (iPhone 16 pro) under SIMs I have a Personal line with my transferred number and a Secondary line with the number Koodo assigned to me. The personal line seems to be still connected with Bell, at least it says so in my Settings.

Can I just delete the secondary number/SIM and hope that the problems will solve itself?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

THANK YOU

It might be an issue with the iPhone settings.

Please don’t delete any eSIMs for now—you could accidentally remove the correct one and end up needing a replacement.

Have you received the SMS from Bell and agreed to the number‑transfer request? If so, could you turn off or remove the Bell physical SIM from your phone? After that, please restart the device to see if it resolves the issue?

Thank you, Dinh

Sometimes we just don’t think of the simple way 😉. Just opening the SIM compartment and closing it again solved the problem I struggled for  hours with.

I still have a primary and a secondary SIM but both have the right number and I just turned off the line that seems still connected to Bell.

THANK YOU!
