Calls break up when using phone in ground level apartment

When I try to make calls or answer calls, I can hear the other end fine, but I’m breaking up for them. I have to stick my phone out the window to make it work. Pretty ridiculous!  Got a new phone recently and the problem persists. Do I need to switch carriers?

I live in the middle of Vancouver in a ground floor 90’s building. My partners phone (Fido) works fine in our place.

Well it could be many reasons - your phone, or indeed the location. Are you on postpaid? Then probably the easiest solution is enable WiFi calling, if you have home Internet. If that won’t work, then yes, moving to a Rogers (or subsidiary) line might be best!

I’m no on postpaid so I can’t do the wifi calling route. Thank you though!

If you take your sim and put it in your partner’s phone, does the call still issues?

I have an eSIM so I am unable to do that. You think it could be the eSIM?

If it is an esim it is less likely.  Are telus and Koodo users around you (friends or other family) also having issues?
