Call Control Authorized a2 caller id

I activated call control and it has worked well to deter unwanted telemarketing calls, but recently, in the last two days, it has authorized two calls with the caller id of 'a2' through the screening process. What does this 'a2' mean and how did it get through without having to identify a phone number?

The "a2" caller ID that you are seeing on your call control may indicate that the incoming calls are originating from an anonymous or blocked number. In some cases, telemarketers or other callers may attempt to bypass call screening systems by masking their phone number or using unconventional identifiers. Call Control helps reduce unwanted calls by prompting incoming callers to enter a randomly-generated number (0-9), which the caller must enter correctly before the call can be connected. It’s not a fool proof method.

If you continue to receive calls with the "a2" caller ID that bypasses the screening process, you may want to report these instances to Koodo. They can investigate further and provide assistance in enhancing the effectiveness of your call control features.
