Just saying bye bye to koodo after maybe 10 to 15 years been so long can’t remember. 30 days expiries lead to random disconnects and I got “long distance” boaster that never get used. Costs have 2x over past few years.

Yeah I am not a fan of the changes to Koodo prepaid either.

If you are in the market for prepaid, I recommend checking out Public Mobile to see if their plans work for you

Went with the chatr yearly plan and will buy a esim to handle date, if the 30gb runs out for the year. I use less then 1gb /month. So paying 30 for 1g was already not a great deal. Paying $30 for 300 - 400 mb was silly. Took too long to switch though.

Koodo also offers a 360‑day prepaid plan similar to Chatr’s plan. If you switched to that plan—possibly by calling in—you might be able to retain your existing booster.

Anyway, since you already ported, good luck and enjoy the new carrier.

For what you are looking for, it is a great choice.  I would have chosen the same thing.  Koodo stupidly shorts you 5 days for the same plan

I might of chose the koodo 365 plan if I knew about it, but not likely. It’s a trust thing given their pricing model is now moved into full on suck you dry mode. The shorted 5 days of a year also adds to the loss in trust.

The boasters I had left where some us roaming and long distance talk. Both have been sitting there for a long time unused. 8 years for the us roaming. Maybe I lost $40 in boasters, but been paying $20/month more then I need for over a year. So they got their profit. I’m sure chatr/rogers will pull the same trick again in the future and I’ll have to rotate.
