Area code for new number

Hi :)

 

Recently moved back to Canada and am in Alberta at the moment but moving to BC in a few weeks. Is it possible to get a SIM card with a BC number while in Alberta? Or do I need to get an Alberta number for the weeks here and then change it when I move? 

I have my own device.

If you sign up in store they can give you local BC number.

If you sign up online, then it will be based on the mailing address the sim will be sent to.
