Ported number yesterday, self serve says number was successfully transferred to Koodo. Sim on my phone still shows the temporary number, tried restarting phone but no luck.

Besides self-serve, have you received a SMS from Koodo saysing the transfer is complete? Can you try to reset network settings to see if that can update the number in your phone?

As of now, if you call/send SMS, is the temporary number showing up or transferred  one?

If your Koodo temporary number still shows on calls and SMS after porting, it usually means the porting process isn’t fully completed or activated yet. Koodo can take up to 24-48 hours to finalize the port and update your number on all services. Restarting the phone or cycling eSIM off/on may help refresh it, but if the transferred number doesn’t appear after 48 hours, you’ll need to escalate for a port status check.

To fix your ported number still showing as temporary for calls and SMS after successful transfer and network reset, try these steps:

  1. Remove and reinsert the SIM card physically to force the phone to register the new number properly.
  2. 2. Try the SIM in another phone; if the correct number shows up, the issue is device-related.
  3. 3. Check your phone’s caller ID settings; sometimes outgoing calls show the SIM’s default number until updated.
  4. 4. Wait a few hours as it can take extra time for the network to fully update your number on all systems, especially after porting.
  5. 5. If you are using an eSIM, consider switching to a physical SIM card, as eSIM ports can be glitchy with number display.
  6. 6. If none of these work, the port might be stuck internally and requires Koodo’s porting team intervention.
  7. Since your network reset and restart didn’t help and you see the SMS confirmation that porting is complete, these next steps (especially SIM reseating, testing in another device, and waiting) are your best options before escalation. If it persists, I can flag a rep for you.
