Support with password setting and number porting with no working phone?

I’m trying to port a number from SpeakOut and it seems to not have worked. I can’t set or reset a password on Koodo to make an account to get help, nor can I receive a call from an agent. What would you suggest?

Password resets for Koodo prepaid accounts can be glitchy, especially if you don’t have access to the old phone or number. The usual forgot password process often fails or blocks you for 48 hours if it thinks it sent a reset email (that you never got). Since you can’t get calls from agents and can’t reset your password, the best workaround is to schedule a callback through Koodo’s Chatbot at koodo.com/chat and insist you can’t reset your password. If you have no alternate number, try using an app like Fongo to get a Canadian number to receive the callback. 

Also, you might try resetting voicemail password by calling your voicemail and entering random digits when it asks for a password to get back in, which sometimes helps with account access.

If none of this works, creating a new Koodo account won’t help with keeping your old number, so persist with the callback option. Weird situation but the system’s wonky right now.

Just to confirm, did you activate a prepaid SIM card recently? or were you trying to create an prepaid account without any temporary Koodo number?

I ported my number over (prepaid SpeakOut SIM to prepaid Koodo eSIM). It seems like the new Koodo service is now working (as far as I can tell), but I’m still unable to create a password/reset a password. I’ll try to get a callback now that I have a working phone line unless anyone knows a way around this password set/reset problem.

Unfortunately, it has been a bit of an issue the past few weeks. I imagine it’s due to the sudden increase in use because of black friday etc which has lead to issues.

Some things to try would be a different browser, a different device, using an incognito tab, or reset your cache and cookies and try again. If these don’t work, a call back would be the way to go. 🙂
