Question

sim card fee for iphone 15 pro max

Hi

so besides going back up in price, the iPhone 15 pro max is also adding a $10 SIM card fee along with the $15 shipping fee for online orders. If this iPhone only accepts eSIM activations, why is there a SIM card fee and what would you do with a physical SIM card.. unless they’re referring to an eSIM voucher you’d need to activate your plan with, but nothing is specified. Anyone know what’s up with this? Thanks

The 15 pro max has a sim card slot in Canada. Only the US model is esim only.

Now the checkout has reverted to only charging for shipping and no SIM card. And I’m reading that iPhones shipped in Canada have dual physical sim slots but also eSIM built in. But does it ship with a fresh sim by default? And would it take a sim from my iPhone 11?

I’m not aware of Iphones in Canada being dual sim. They advertise as dual sim (nano-SIM and eSIM) on the Apple Canada site, and dual eSIM. Koodo ships phones with sim cards, but you do not have to switch to it. You can use the current sim card you have, as it’s a nanosim as well for the iphone 11.

Thanks very much👍
