Premium voicemail not answering calls


I have premium voicemail perk and am able to access my voicemail without a problem but when someonw calls, it doent go to voicemail. just says “uv1 - the customer you are calling is not available”. not sure when it started happening but cant seem to find a way to fix it.

Did voicemail work previously?  Did it work when you didnt have the premium voicemail perk?  Or are you a new customer and voicemail has never worked for you?

Does regular voice (incoming and outgoing) work?

it has been working for months since i switched to a plan with a premium voicemail perk. i have not received any voicemails for a while now so not sure when it stopped working - someone just told me today they could not leave a voicemail. when i call it from my office it wrings a number of times then gives me a recofing saying the customer you are calling is not available. no problems with incoming or outgoing calls.

Hi ​@mjssidney which of the lines on the account are you having issues with (last 2 digits of the phone number is fine)?

Are you just having issues with the voicemail or are you not receiving incoming calls at all, can you see the missed calls on your phone?

It's the one ending in 89. No problems at all with calling. Calls just don't forward to voicemail. In stead you get a recording that Says 1UV1. The customer you are trying to reach us unavailable. Please try again later. And hangs up.

We can try to reset the voicemail in that case. That would mean any saved or unheard messages would be deleted and you would have to configure the voicemail again. Would you be ok with that?

Got it ​@mjssidney 

We just restarted the voicemail from our side. You can reboot the phone and set up the Voicemail. The default password would be your 10 digit phone number. 

Keep us posted on how it went.

I rebooted phone and accesssed voicmail. did not ask me for password and still has my existing greeting etc. Calls still  not forwarding to voicemail. was it the number ending in 89 that was reset and not the one ending in 88?

Thank you for letting us know ​@mjssidney  That’s strange, the number was the one ending in 89 as it was mentioned above.  We restarted the voicemail again, you can test.  

 

If the issue persists , we would recommend scheduling a call-back through our Koodo Assist, to further troubleshoot with our Tech Support team.

Still the same, doesnt seem to have reset. I will schdule a callback through the assistant. Thanks.
