Was internet working before this issue or did you activate but it hasn’t been working since?

You can try unplugging both router and modem, plug all back in, and factory reset. We can look into other options if that’s what you’ve tried and you confirm it did previously work.

Contacted Koodo Callback - router does not work and needs to be replaced.  Should be able to check this before they are sent to the customer.  Distributing the cheapest contracting mfg Sercom product who has a slow website not a good idea, and why is the modem not integrated into the router

Quality Control is never 100% unfortunately. Things do slip through. Ideally everything would be checked before delivery.

Good question on the choice to use 2 device system. It’s what Telus has been using, and they are often considered to offer better flexibility, though I don’t think that matters for most people. I would guess that it was ultimately cheaper going this route, but I don’t believe there is an officallyu divulged reason.

There should be a local depot that can supply/drop off replacement components.  The sales staff that came to my door to sign me up should be able to drop by and replace defective parts the same day.  Now I need to restart my current internet provider until the replacement shows up in a couple days.

That introduces costs that I don’t believe Koodo is willing to make.

I can see why the CRTC is hesitant to allow Telus internet into Ontario.  It better up its game

did speed test, Altima network at 50 Mbps and unstable.  Should be 1000 Mbps.  Much slower than Cogeco

To be fair this is not Telus Internet.  Koodo is a 3rd party reseller of internet.
