I need tech-support. My phone isn’t working and nobody can get a hold of me because it goes straight to voicemail.

Are you able to make outgoing calls?

Was your phone working prevously?  Are you new to Koodo?

Yes I can make out going calls and some incoming if they call me twice because it goes straight to voicemail mail then they call back them the call comes through

Can you check if you set the phone in "Do not disturb mode"? Or any personal mode? Sometimes, that was the cause of the 1st call block while leting the 2nd call goes through

I’ve checked all these things. I’ve even checked call forwarding I’ve turned my phone on. I’ve turned it off.

Are you able to remove your SIM card and put it back into your phone? Does it resolve the issue? What about inserting your SIM card into another device?

? Why? I’m with Koodo since January it’s been fine up until now

What phone do you have?

If it takes 2 calls for calls to come through, then it sounds like DND mode is enabled.

Are you able to narrow down if this is always the case?

No, it’s not always the case and it’s only with certain phone numbers. I’ve taken them off the spam list if they were on it in the past I’ve also with their texts check that out and remove them if it wasn’t spam. I’ve done everything that I know to see if there’s anything blocking them from calling me and it doesn’t appear to be the case.

That’s why I would like a customer care representative to call me because they can’t even get through. They aren’t even on the spam list. It goes straight to voicemail with them and I can’t interrupt or intercept the phone call if they do or when they do. Then I get kicked back into having to go through this all over again and set up a scheduled phone call. It’s frustrating that’s why I call it craziness and a crazy loop.

Understanding the issue, no one here is asking you to request a callback when you are unable to receive calls.

 

Do you have numbers blocked on your phone?  Where it allows only certain numbers?

They can text me if they can have a form or it’s a customer care representative through a text on Kudo self serve but no, it’s some crazy robotic AI machine that says we will have someone call you. That’s not convenient for everyone.

I’ve been there bro checked it all out. It’s not my phone. Koodo. Koodo needs to straighten things out at there end.

Yes, there are numbers that I have saved in my contacts. These are important numbers. They can’t get through to me even my own mother had to do this. Call me twice in order to get through first time. It went straight to voicemail. The second time it went through. And yes, it is with the people that I know and people that are on my phone contact list. I’ve went through my contact list to make sure that I haven’t silenced them. I’m not an airplane mode. It’s just a frustrating problem.

I have not made any changes to my original set up with Kudo two months ago. This is a new issue.

If you already reset your network settings and it does not work, how about removing those specific numbers from your contact list and adding them back again on your phone? This is the other method that may resolve your issue.

It would simpler if you have a physical sim to see if the issue follows the device or the sim.

Right now from your description it sounds more like a device issue and not a Koodo backend issue with your account.
