Can't login, SIM (apparently) disabled, but being charged every month

Last year I bought a SIM for my family visiting Canada and registered a prepaid plan.

As far as I remember, a did not register for automatic top ups because they would be here for less than a month.

Since then I didn’t check the account status (my mistake).

Yesterday I just noticed that Koodo is charging for the account. It has been doing this for many months.

Now, here’s the problem:

  • When I try to log in, it says that I need to update my password, but when I click “Proceed” I get an error page.
  • When I try to recover my password, it says that my email address is invalid (it isn’t)
  • I installed the SIM on a cell phone, but it doesn’t connect to the mobile network -- therefore I cannot recover password using SMS
  • They recommend using the chat to schedule a callback -- problem is: to schedule a callback one needs to log in, so I’m back at square one

Anyone from Koodo here to tell me how can I log in to cancel and delete my credit card from the system for good?

When you are using Koodo assist just ask for a callback.  You may need to spam this

Assuming your account is still active, I would suggest you to schedule a callback through Koodo Assist and speak with a rep to get back in. https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/koodoprepaid/koodoprepaid.html

@MilkyWay when I ask to schedule a callback through Koodo Assist, it asks me to log in to get my account info, so I’m back were I started.

Say you are unable to login

After I do that, it asks a few questions about my account (active? topped-up?), and that they’ve enhanced security and I need to reset my password. It then asks if I did that, I say “No” (I didn’t), then it asks me to “follow the prompts”.

Just tried again, this is what I get when I “follow the prompts”:

I click “Login”, I see this:

I click “Proceed” then I get this:

(Yes, already cleared cache, cookies, tried another browser, etc.)

You can simply act as if you don’t have a Koodo account and schedule to ask about a Koodo service. It won’t require you to sign in.

Just tried, kept repeating “schedule a callback”, and the bot finally scheduled the call. 🤷

Hopefully this topic will help someone in the future.

Thanks guys, appreciate your help.
